 The Team at Facemakers have developed a comprehensive procedure for skin analysis and treatment, including new analysis equipment and the best professional skincare products and treatments available for in-salon and homecare use.
Our therapists have undertaken extensive product and treatment training and this is an on-going commitment for Facemakers and our team of skincare therapists.
Our therapists are committed to identifying your skincare concerns and needs, ensuring you receive a treatment plan and appropriate home-care advice to achieve the best results.
For maximum results a course of treatments is advised.
Your Skin Analysis and Consultation will include:
- A consultation form including your skincare and medical history plus your skin concerns.
- Analysis of your skin with a Skin Scanner and a CK German Skin Analysis machine.
- Discussion about your concerns and how to best create a healthy skin.
- Homecare recommendations and how to use your homecare products.
- In-salon treatment recommendations to maximize the benefits of your home care.
- Follow-up skin checks as recommended by your skincare therapist.

The Ionzyme DF machine employs the combination of two highly sophisticated scientific methods:
- Pulsed Iontophoresis to facilitate greater penetration of vitamins into the skin.

 The Environ Cosmetic ROLL-CIT is the latest revolutionary design from Environ in skin care treatments. The principle behind the Environ Cosmetic ROLL-CIT is that it helps to increase penetration of vitamins and other active ingredients into the skin.
When applied to the surface of the skin, it creates micro channels in the horny layer (surface) of the skin. This layer is the main obstruction to entry into the skin.
Once this layer has been breached, the vitamins A, C, E and beta-carotene contained in the skin care products can reach into the depths of the skin more effectively than by simply applying the products to the surface.

Skin Peeling
In order to enhance the action of home and salon treatments, your therapist may advise a course of Skin Peeling treatments.
Some conditions that may be helped by Skin Peeling include:
- Fine, delicate skin with fine lines and poor hydration
- Oily skin, Acneic; Problematic skin
- Photoaged skin, Severe sun damage; Heavy upper lip lines
- Scarring; Elastosis
Maximising the penetration of ingredients like Vitamins A, C and E, anti oxidants, colostrum, retinol and other serum and actives into the skin cells, which in turn eliminate the skins vitamin deficiencies, strengthen the skin immune system and allow our skin cells to function normally and be healthy.
The peeling preparation is responsible for ‘melting’ the glue holding together the dead cells of the protective top layer of the skin.
During your peeling treatment, you may feel a prickling or itchy sensation, but it should not be intensely uncomfortable. Your therapist will remain in your treatment room with you at all times to ensure your comfort.
How should I prepare my skin before starting a course of peeling treatments?
The first step in preparation for your skin for peeling treatments is your consultation with your therapist. A history of your skin and it’s care will be recorded, including details of your medical history.
A homecare routine including daily sun protection will be prescribed.
Your skin must be prepared with quality home care plus daily sun protection.
How often will I need to have a peeling treatment?
After a consultation and skin analysis, your therapist will recommended a course of peeling treatments either weekly, fortnightly or monthly for a set number of treatments.
When is the best time to have peeling treatments?
We generally recommend peeling treatments during the winter, when it is easier to avoid excessive UV exposure. However, even during winter – due to high UVA levels, diligent application of sunscreen is required daily.
How will my skin feel after a peeling treatment?
In the first few days after peeling, you may notice some flaking of the skin and there may be a slight tautness to the skin. This will pass within a few days and can be a natural part of the peeling process and you therapist will advise if you are to expect this.
